The workshop, which begins at 6:30 pm at the Chimney Rock Fire Department, will focus on the importance of maintaining native plant species and identifying invasive plants. It will also include information on the best way to attack and remove invasive plants. You are encouraged to bring a plant from your property to be identified in a ziplock bag.

Invasive plants are posing a huge threat to the native plants of Hickory Nut Gorge. Everyone can help protect our native plants by learning the best methods of identification and removal and encourage your neighbors to do the same. Please bring a friend and join us in a very informative evening. This is the second in a series of workshops on invasive species
